aged 12 and 13 - athletes and non-athletes. The sample of examinees of 60 girls, of whom 30 play sports
and 30 do not play sports. Anthropometric characteristics of the examinees were assessed by the following
measures: body height - TV (cm), body weight - TM (kg) and body mass index - BMI (kg / m2). The motor
skills of the subjects were assessed using five tests: hand tapping (TR) - for the speed of alternative
movements, sitting forward (PuS) - for flexibility in the hip joint, long jump (SuDM) - for explosive strength
of the leg extensor muscles, running 4 x10m (ČT4x10m) - for agility and running on 30m flying start
(T30mLS) - for estimating locomotion speed. The comparison of the results of the two groups of examinees
was done using the T-test for independent samples and a significant difference was found in all variables
in favor of girls who play sports.
