                    <dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract">Smart antenna technology is one of the key technologies for further development of wireless communications systems. Short overview of this technology is given, including different deployment categories and principles, discusing implementation for different multiplexing and duplexing schemes. Main benefits are explained and main issues connected to posibile use of technology in existing and future systems are discused. In the end, brief insight to the novel space-time processing techniques is given.</dim:field>
