<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract">The development of human society and the progress of civilization in general are inconceivable without science and technology. Throughout history, innovations and inventions have initiated changes in the organization of society, the creation and disappearance of civilizations, states, empires. The discoveries of new technologies, their improvements and human innovation in general are obvious catalysts for the development of civilization, inspiring and permeating all social phenomena, including the character and nature of war.The problem of work is scientific and technological development as a factor in shaping modern wars and wars of the future. Looking for an answer to the problem question that the paper will try to answer is: What is the capacity of innovation, technology and overall scientific and technological development in shaping the character of a complex phenomenon such as war?The aim of the paper is to analyze and compare different theoretical approaches to identify where technology appears as a common denominator in defining the war of various theorists and how these theories see modern and future wars in the context of scientific and technological development. The significance of the paper is reflected in the attempt to compare different theoretical approaches in observing scientific and technological development as a factor in the war. The information age and technological breakthroughs we are witnessing will undoubtedly affect military organizations as well</dim:field>
