Zelenković According to Tourism Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia from 2016 to 2025, Serbia has a huge potential in health tourism, with over 1,000 springs, 50 spas and places with a wealth of natural mineral gases and medicinal mud. Natural resources provide the possibility of greenfield investments, which can provide accelerated regional economic development (youth employment, construction of smaller accommodation facilities, development of the service sector, agriculture) and valorize the principles of sustainable tourism development. The aim of this paper is to present the potential of Sokobanja and point out the competitiveness of this destination in the tourist market, in relation to the experience of visitors, with potential development and investment in accordance with the principles of responsible tourism. conferenceObject SITCON 2022
