                    <dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract">The dramatic changes provoked by the COVID-19 coronavirus have left inconceivable consequences on companies worldwide, deeply affecting human resources management. In the blurred present and unpredictable future, human resources management should reconsider how employees manage stress, how fast staff adapted to new circumstances, how they accept changes in business, and to what extent they are ready for new knowledge, digitization, and work from home. However, human resources management has faced staff dismissal and reductions due to pandemic-caused company closures. This paper is based on practical experience. It lists the challenges encountered in the Crowne Plaza Belgrade Hotel, determines the effects of the crisis on human resources, and presents specific activities undertaken by the Crowne Plaza Belgrade Hotel. The practice indicates that companies, together with human resources managers, should prepare action plans for crisis management, elaborate work-from-home procedures in those segments of business where the work process allows it, and implement digitized technological work systems in response to the current and future crisis.</dim:field>
