Gajić Rural tourism is becoming a more and more popular form of tourist movement and it is a fact that the tourist region of Western Serbia has all potentials of taking its high, competitive position in the market. In this research paper, all potentials which refer to the wealth in natural potentials, cultural and historical sights, the state of infrastructure, material basis and other elements contained in the offer can be seen. Alongside with the potentials, there are weaknesses. With the goal of providing a clearer insight into characteristics and prospects which currently follow the development of rural tourism of the observed region, a survey has been conducted. Namely, on a sample of 100 subjects, one can get a clear picture of the state, as well as establish any potential activities which can improve certain parameters.
