<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract">In addition to traditional forms of everyday physical exercising there have emerged some different forms which are more interesting and more appealing compared to some earlier forms of exercise. Dance aerobic is one of those forms of physical exercise which can have a positive influence on the development of some of the components of physical fitness and body composition. The objective of this paper was to review the scientific research related to the dance aerobics effects on the body composition in people aged 20 to 60. The conclusion is that dance aerobics can influence body composition, and that the effects of the applied program depend on the type of the program, its intensity and its application model.</dim:field>
