                    <dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract">With the worldwide competition so strong, it is essential that motor vehicles have high reliability. One of the ways to reach this goal is the methodology for reliability design of a motor vehicle, namely power transmission. Reliability design, within the stage of overall design, is in direct correlation with the reliability of motor vehicle.&#xD;
&#xD;
The problem of a practical methodology for power transmission reliability design has been solved by the development of the methodology for this purpose. The basis of the developed methodology represents a contemporary approach to design, comprising the phases of conceptual, preliminary and detail design, with the application of the reliability design method within these phases.</dim:field>
