                    <dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract">Research question was given to answer how sports managers affect the business of the club, and encourage the transition of the sport. That is why education of sports managers is of great importance for sport and economic efficiency. The research topic is sports manager education in the function of restructuring a sport. The paper explored the model sports manager education in developed countries, because reach a form appropriate to the needs and requirements of a restructured economy of the countries in transition. By the model of descriptive statistics were analyzed participants of 5 institutions in Serbia that educate sports managers, of which over 80% is privately owned. The results of the study highlight the development of Serbian sports in a competitive environment marked by developed sports market, economic systems and the knowledge economy. The conclusion is that private models of education in Serbia led to significant employment growth in the sector of sports, higher sports and economic efficiency and therefore the development of society.</dim:field>
