they can be used for knowledge management in organizations.
Online social networks are some of the most rapidly growing
business in the last decade. In the last few years they have
become very big and influential. Facebook the largest of them has
more than billion monthly active users. Influenced by online
social networks the way of doing business has changed
substantially. Organizations have started to use internal social
networking systems together with online systems to manage
knowledge. Locating both internal and external experts,
knowledge sharing and facilitating electronic communities of
practice present some of the most common applications of social
networking systems for knowledge management.</dim:field>
