<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract">Serbian society has been – and still is – passing very complex and vibrating changes in two decade period. The influences, motivators and triggers, different by their nature, power or origin, affect all demographic / psychographic segments of Serbian population. Youths seem to be driven in variety of directions, often conflicting, sometimes extreme, unpredictable or reversible. Raised under significant political changes and constant economic pressure, always in between western and eastern role models, nowadays Serbian university students have shaped their own “lifestyle map”, relatively independent of predominant systems of value and, in some way, more rational and functional than their predecessors, including the Significant Others! While investigating their intimate and social habits, patterns of leisure time activities, things that activate their energy in most authentic way and areas of their deepest interest – using several research approaches and combination of advanced research tools – we were in position to understand their point of view as well as compare it with results of some similar studies which have been done in between 2000 and 2014, in Serbia, but in the region also.
Key words: Serbian university students, actual habits, needs and expectations, patterns of leisure time activities</dim:field>
