Knežević Abstract: The modern world is facing severe effects of human activities on the environment which have unreachable consequences on the humanity. Some critical and warning points have been reached in numerous sectors of development. The race for prestige, nuclear and other disasters and waste, frequent climate changes, decay of the ozone layer, deforestation, desertification, and other adverse phenomena have greatly contributed to destroying one’s own environment, which further affects the quality of the environment and human health that is becoming more and more endangered. Such phenomena undoubtedly indicate concern, change of conduct and demand implementation of concrete measures related to environmental protection and ensuring decent life conditions to the upcoming generations.
