                    <dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract">The main aim of this paper is to, taking into account some adequate basics in functioning of tourist market, point out the need of balanced approach of tourist companies in relationship to market changes and their own possibilities in business sphere. This paper will, in general, investigate basic assumptions of the companies in the tourist economy as well as those assumptions  which will, in line with the strategic goals of those companies, be able to secure successful answer for long-term and complex market changes. In line with the actual concept of strategic management, it is necessary to devise such a strategy in the companies of tourist economy that will, in contrast to the concepts devised in the 1980’s and 1990’s, avoid acceptance of only market or only company potentials and will bring into accord achievement of market competition and internal abilities of those companies.</dim:field>
