<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract">Abstract: In the last couple of years there has been more and more
evidence which suggest that contemporary civilization is becoming a civilization of violence. The fact that many battles which are being fought
everyday on different grounds such as personal, family, partnership, professional, social, political, religious grounds are the fruits of contemporary
civilization. Violence has become “modus operandi” of today’s life in most
areas of life, from family surrounding to conflicts between different social
groups, escalating in international conflicts which now have fatal consequences for human lives. Violence is present in interpersonal relations and
it seems that in the context of active or passive aggression, it has replaced
calmer and wiser communication models between people. That is visible
in all social circles, regarding of social status, education, gender and age.
It often happens that a previous victim in one circle becomes a molester in
the other. Violence for the sake of violence is becomming source of pleasure and gratification for those who perform it. Aim of this paper is to try
to investigate sources of aggression in contemporary social moment on
global, but also on local plan, through analyzing existing literature about
psychoanalytical, group analytical and psychodrama therapies.</dim:field>
