Although it is believed that without interpretation of 《The Judgement Text》 and 《The Text of hexagram and lines symbols》 it is very hard to understand the meaning of the original texts of hexagrams and their lines, in my opinion, first of all, if we do not pay attention to 《The Judgement Text》 and《The Text of hexagram and lines symbols》, but fundamentally focus on the meaning of hexagrams and lines, we will be able to realize the level of consciousness and way of thinking of the ancient Chinese people in the 11th century BC in the most direct way; second of all, in this way we are able to uncover the very basis of the philosophical cosmology in the 《Change of Zhou》; finally, in this way we will perceive the common source of cosmologies of hundred Chinese philosophical schools, since the 《Book of Change》 was created several centuries before them. The 《Book of Change》 has absorbed the most diverse elements through the transformation of ancient Chinese society. Chronologically speaking, the 《Book of Change》 contains the experiences of matriarchy, patriarchy, period of three sovereigns and five emperors, slavery epoch of Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, as well as elements of the ritual offering of sacrifices. In the 11th century BC Chinese heavenly concept included the myths and legends, symbols, rituals, sacrificial offerings, the elements of proto-religion and ancient astronomical knowledge. Cosmology of the 《Book of Change》could be called a proto-philosophy. If we take the text of the hexagrams and lines of the 《Book of Change》as the basis of interpretation, and then, at least, add up the content of 《The Judgement Text》 and 《The Text of hexagram and lines symbols》, only then we can say that we are talking about the real philosophy.
